The Third Workshop "From code centric to model centric software engineering: Practices, Implications and ROI"
June 12th, 2008 - Berlin, Germany
Model Driven Development technology, by raising the level of abstraction, provides a powerful toolset to the software development process. The change of paradigm, from code centric to model centric engineering, implies an evolution in the processes, tools and methods used by IT providers and IT divisions. This evolution is strategic and needs to be defined and planned carefully to achieve a successful adoption.
This workshop will bring together companies and researchers to discuss, among other issues, how the evolution from code centric to model centric development can be managed. It is the successor of the Second Workshop "From code centric to model centric software engineering: Practices, Implications and ROI" (C2M2006), which took place in collaboration with the European Conference on Model Driven Architecture - Foundation and Application (ECMDA-FA) on 11th of July 2006. This year's edition will again take place again in collaboration with the ECMDA-FA 2008 (http://www.ecmda-fa.org) on June 12th, 2008, at Berlin, Germany.

June 9-12, 2008 – Berlin, Germany
The workshop aims to provide a forum for sharing experience and discussing the usage of MDD in different industries, with the potential for uncovering new opportunities for MDD usage and strengthening organizational practices supported by feedback from experienced industrial users. It is also the aim of this workshop to bring together people from academia and industry, who can provide their experiences and highlight new challenges in their current practice and how they and envision adopting MDD.
Workshop organisers are expecting papers focused on, but not limited to, the following subjects:
Proceedings from this workshop will be published as a technical report and will be made available on the workshop's web site (http://www.esi.es/modelplex/c2m/) together with the different presentations.
