Initiatives for Information Society

While it is true that the number of users of ICT (both citizens and companies) has increased significantly in recent years, it is also true that many people do not have access to this expanding range of technologies - creating a "digital divide" that separates those with access from those without access.

The mission of the Information Society Area of the European Software Institute is to help public administrations minimize this digital divide, providing increased access to technologies for both citizens and companies, especially Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs).
