Reasons for developing an accessible web page
EuroMed 2010 wants to develop an accessible web page in order to be used for the maximum number of users as possible, regardless of their personal or technological limitations.
This development has been based on the application and conformance of the Accessibility Guidelines for accessible design established by the WAI ( www.w3.org/WAI ) belonging to the W3C ( www.w3.org )
Technical Help
- Accessibility Levels:
- This web page satisfies the Conformance Level "AA" of accessibility.

- Use of Standards:
- We have implemented the following standards; XHTML 1.0 for the code of the web pages and CSS-2 to obtain the maximum separation between presentation and content.

- Variable letter size and liquid design:
- The design of the Web page has been made using relative units, e.g. the size of the text. Therefore the page will visualize correctly in any resolution and the user will be able, if he/she has the option, to vary the size of text.
- Abbreviations description:
- All abbreviations used on the SEPG LA 2008 web page include their corresponding description.
- Navigation bars:
- The main navigation bar is always located in the same place and, where necessary, a secondary navigation bar appears. User will always have available all website pages.
- Navigation using tab key:
- All content on this site should be accessible using the TAB and ENTER keys on the keyboard to navigate the whole site.
- Skipping menus:
- Those using text-only navigators or navigators that read the screen can avoid having to read each page of the menu and submenu by using the hyperlinks to skip sections and go directly to the content of the page.
- Keyboard shortcuts:
- We have qualified keyboard shortcuts that make easy the navigation of the page Web. In order to be able to use these shortcuts, we will have to use the combination of keys ALT + Key of shortcut of keyboard (in Internet Explorer 4.0, Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox) or ALT + Key of shortcut of keyboard + ENTER (higher than Internet Explorer 5) or Capital + Esc in Opera. If we are using MacOS, the combination is CONTROL + Key of keyboard shortcut.
