  • The content of this seminar is an introduction to the basic concepts of ISO/IEC 20000:2005 and the necessary processes for its implementation and certification. Acquisition Supplement for CMMI v1.2

  • This one-day course introduces acquisition managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and process group (e.g., SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI® fundamental concepts related to acquisition. CMMI for Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ) is a CMMI model designed for use in managing a supply chain by those who acquire, procure, or otherwise select and purchase products and services for business purposes. This course with its prerequisite, Introduction to CMMI Version 1.2, fulfills a prerequisite requirement for any course requiring an official SEI Introductory CMMI for Acquisition course. This course is also a prerequisite for being a lead appraiser or team member on a SCAMPI appraisal using the CMMI-ACQ model.

Expert speaker, Rahaf Harfoush was a key player in Barack Obama’s 2008 electoral campaign, whereby he reached the US presidency.

Rahaf Harfoush now works, since March 2009, as Associate Director for Global Cooperation in the World Economic Forum and, will explain in this Congress how to use social media as a strategic tool.

During the Congress, organized within the framework of the Week@ESI (www.esi.es/esiweek), Rahaf Harfoush will share with participants many of the ideas, anecdotes and most importantly her experience in the unique campaign led by President Barack Obama, in which she participated with other team members.

32 applications have been presented for the ESI International Awards

ESI will give these Awards to those organisations with a visible commitment to reducing the Digital Gap and to reaching the Information Society all over the world.

From Kenya to Bangladesh, through India and US, these International Awards have received applications from 13 countries belonging to 4 continents, until a total of 32 applications.

The applications will be checked by a jury formed by 12 members of different companies and countries. Besides, each application will be checked by 3 jury members with the objective of giving an absolutely rigor to the punctuations.

The jury will take into account the commitment to continuously Bridging the Digital Gap, Objective evidence of achievement and/or impact, both in terms of number of users as well as the effect on each of them or the global effect, originality of the proposed solution and universality of application and future sustainability.

Finalists, 3 for each category, will be published in different media and in this website during the second week of May.

These International Awards recognize the effort made by the organizations to reducing the Digital Gap and to reaching the Information Society for all.
